Purple Iris

One of my favorite blogs is coco + kelley , an inspirational place for interior decor and fashion. Cassandra's latest post, Purple's Reign, inspired me to post these iris photos. Pantone even selected the color of the year for 2008 to be Blue Iris. Although, my subjects vary in shade, I'd have to agree purple came out the winner.

Merry Christmas!

Just settling down after a wonderful Christmas Eve with my family. It's always great to get together with everyone, eat, drink, be merry...secret santa, sharing new stories and old memories, thinking of loved ones and watching the newest lil one smile with joy over simple pleasures such as wrapping paper and tree lights. I'm looking forward to waking up tomorrow morning for my mother's yummy breakfast specials and enjoying the day. I wish everyone out there the happiest holiday!

Hi there...

Where has the time gone? Geez, it's been so long since I've made a post. I guess that's what happens when you're planning a wedding and apartment hunting. The days are flying by and soon enough it will be Christmas! I've been looking over my photos and discovered the bulk of them are from Spring and Summer. The weather lately has been so cold and rainy, so the pics remind me of warm, brighter days. I thought I'd share...

Americana

Capturing the beautiful things in life is really what photography is all about. Whether it's people, places or things, there is so much out there in this world to cherish. My fiancee and I have been traveling to Provincetown, Cape Cod for the last 7 years we've been together (yesterday was our anniversary!) Not only is this town overflowing with gorgeous beaches, homes, gardens etc..but also people, both locals and tourists, who are overflowing with love. John and I were driving up Commercial Street and just had to pullover when we saw this home. It's just darling and I thought...a bit fitting for today's post!

So...it rained, but that didn't stop anyone from having a great time! The beautiful Wadsworth Mansion was a lovely setting for the pink and chocolate themed event. The cute couple live out in Cali and are both pastry chef's. So needless to say, the cake was amazing!!! Thanks for allowing me to join in on the fun :)
